Salary: $120,000 - 160,000 per year Requirements:
- We are looking for an undergraduate degree in a related discipline or an equivalent mix of training and experience.
- We require at least five years of database administrator experience with Oracle, SQL Server, or AWS database technologies such as Postgres and DynamoDB.
- Oracle, SQL Server, or AWS certification is preferred, though not mandatory.
- We need excellent written and verbal communication skills, including interviewing and presentation abilities.

- We are looking for working knowledge and experience with MS Windows and/or Linux (Red Hat) operating systems, VMware virtualization, distributed computing hardware, network technologies, Active Directory/LDAP, backup and disaster recovery testing, Control-M scheduling, and ITIL/ServiceNow processes.
- We want knowledge of DBA best practices, including backup and recovery, performance tuning, monitoring, and maintenance.
- We need hands-on experience with Oracle, SQL Server, and AWS database technologies.
- We expect the ability to troubleshoot complex systems, identify bottlenecks, and resolve database-related issues.
- We need the ability to support multiple database versions, such as Oracle 12c/18c/19c and Microsoft SQL Server 2016/2019.

- For Oracle, we value experience with Oracle RAC, Data Guard, RMAN, Oracle Enterprise Manager, Linux (Red Hat), basic performance tuning, and tools such as Toad, SQL Developer, OEM, and OID.
- For SQL Server, we expect operational DBA experience supporting MS SQL Server on Windows.
- For SQL Server, we need strong PowerShell and T-SQL skills for automating DBA tasks and notifications.
- For SQL Server, we value experience with Always On Availability Groups, replication, mirroring, SQL Server backup and restore models, MS SCOM, Windows Server, basic performance tuning, and tools such as SSMS, Extended Events, SQL Profiler, Query Store, and Brent Ozar procedures.
- For AWS Postgres and DynamoDB, we expect operational DBA experience in production environments.
- For AWS Postgres and DynamoDB, we need experience creating and removing reader and writer instances.
- For AWS Postgres and DynamoDB, we value AWS automation skills, disaster recovery and high availability experience, backup and restore knowledge, CloudWatch monitoring, and basic performance tuning.

Responsibilities: - We ensure the backup, recovery, security, availability, maintenance, and performance of enterprise database technologies.
- We create and maintain backup and recovery jobs.
- We investigate database issues and help identify root causes.
- We handle administration, installation, upgrades, configuration, and patching across enterprise database platforms.
- We provide on-call support on a rotational basis.
- We support developer requests during normal business hours on a rotating schedule.
- We recommend database features and functions to application developers.
- We assist in testing and evaluating IT vendor products.
- We review application designs for compliance with production acceptance standards.
- We contribute technical expertise to large-scale projects.
