Job Description

Salary: $120,000 - 160,000 per year Requirements:

• We require at least five years of relevant professional experience.
• We require an undergraduate degree or an equivalent blend of training and experience in a creative or technical discipline.
• We prefer familiarity with user testing or tools such as Qualtrics and Medallia.
• We are not offering visa sponsorship for this position.

• We provide usability support to business and IT teams for web and mobile applications across multiple platforms on mid-scale projects.
• We select the most appropriate quantitative or qualitative research methods to gather the insights needed from clients or prospects.
• We plan, design, and conduct user research, usability studies, and heuristic evaluations.
• We review human factors research to add value to our business, technology, and processes.
• We conduct user interviews and contextual inquiries to understand user needs and collect feedback.
• We protect privacy and run sessions in a professional manner.
• We analyze, summarize, and present findings to design teams and mid-level decision makers.
• We recommend strategies to build business buy-in.
• We develop actionable recommendations based on our knowledge of target users and usability best practices.
• We educate project teams and crew members on the purpose and value of usability.
• We identify usability opportunities using both quantitative and qualitative methods and share findings and recommendations with project teams.
• We present usability insights to leaders and help secure adoption of critical recommendations with support from senior user experience crew.
• We help build usability principles and practices across Vanguard.
• We train and mentor junior staff in user experience research best practices.
• We provide guidance, training, and motivation.
• We take part in special projects and carry out other duties as assigned.
