Job Overview

American Guard Services (AGS) is seeking a professional, dependable, and customer-focused Unarmed Security Officer to join our team in Lacey, Washington. This position is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for customers, employees, and visitors at a retail location.

Responsibilities

• Patrol assigned areas and monitor for security concerns
• Maintain a visible presence to deter theft, vandalism, and unauthorized activity
• Observe and report incidents, hazards, and suspicious behavior
• Provide excellent customer service to visitors and staff
• Complete detailed incident and daily activity reports
• Respond calmly and professionally to emergency situations
• Follow all site-specific security procedures and company policies

Qualifications

Required

• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid Washington State Security Guard License
• Ability to speak, read, write, and comprehend English fluently
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively with others
• Professional appearance and demeanor

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during an 8-hour shift
• Ability to maintain awareness and attentiveness throughout the shift
• Ability to remain calm and professional during difficult situations
